Turning Chain:  3

Notes:
One of the two most commonly used stitches in crochet, dc (sc) is the other.

Quickly makes a flexible fabric appropriate for most types of crochet including blankets, cushions and clothes.

Tutorial:

1.  Work to the place where stitch is to be made.
2.  Wrap the yarn around your hook first.
3.  Insert the hook into the stitch (or chain space).

4.  Wrap the yarn over the hook and pull the yarn through the stitch (or chain space).  You now have 3 loops on the hook.
5.  Wrap the yarn over the hook again and pull the yarn through the first 2 loops already on your hook.
6.  Wrap the yarn over your hook once more and pull the yarn through the 2 loop already ok your hook.
7.  The treble crochet (double crochet) is now complete.
Starting a row:


Work into the second stitch of the row.  (The turning chain of 3 will count as the first treble (double) of the row.)
Ending a row:


Work into the top chain of the beginning chain of 3 of the row below to make the last stitch.
