Herringbone Half Treble Crochet (HBhtr)
UK term: Herringbone Half Treble Crochet
UK abbreviation: HBhtr
USA term: Herringbone Half Double Crochet
USA abbreviation: HBhdc
Turning chain: 2
Notes:
A variation on the regular Half Treble (USA Half Double) Crochet, this is a more decorative version that leaves an extra bar to the front of the work, creating a herringbone like look to the fabric.
Tutorial:
1. To make the stitch, wrap the yarn around the hook.
2. Insert the hook into the stitch and wrap the yarn around the hook again.
3. Pull the yarn through the stitch and through the first of the loops already on the hook. You may need to twist the hook to a different angle to pull the yarn all the way through.
4. Wrap the yarn around the hook again and pull through the remaining 2 loops on the hook.
5. This completes the stitch.
